Based in Buenos Aires, Aerolíneas Argentinas is Argentina's national airline. We have a codeshare relationship with Aerolíneas Argentinas on selected flights between:

  • Buenos Aires and Rio de Janeiro
  • Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo
  • Buenos Aires and Santiago
  • Buenos Aires and Bogota
  • Buenos Aires and Porto Alegre
  • Type of partnership: Codeshare / Frequent Flyer

Airpoints Elite and Gold members will need to show their valid membership card to enjoy the following benefits when checking in with Aerolíneas Argentinas at Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Santiago, Bogota or Porto Alegre.

  • Additional checked bag allowance (maximum of 3 bags up to 23 kg each) when connecting from an Aerolíneas codeshare flight to the Air New Zealand operated Buenos Aires to Auckland service

Departing Buenos Aires: Elite and Gold members, plus one guest, may access the Star Alliance lounge at Ezeiza International Airport when:

  • Departing on the Air New Zealand service to Auckland
  • Departing on an Aerolíneas flight with an NZ flight number to Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Santiago, Bogota or Porto Alegre

There is no lounge available for codeshare flights departing from Jorge Newbury Airport.

Departing Sao Paulo: Elite and Gold members, plus one guest, may access the Aerolíneas' partner lounge operated by Linhas Aereas lounge (G3), when departing on an Aerolíneas flight with an NZ flight number to Buenos Aires.

Departing Rio de Janeiro: Elite and Gold members, plus one guest, may access the Aerolíneas' partner lounge operated by Proair when departing on an Aerolíneas flight with an NZ flight number to Buenos Aires.
